2026 Chevrolet Blazer Release Date: Coming Soon to Clover, SC
The 2026 Chevy Blazer is a mid-size crossover that's positioned in the middle of Chevrolet's SUV lineup. It's larger than the Equinox and just below the three-row Traverse or Tahoe. We don't expect any substantial changes for the 2026 model year, as the Blazer continues its attractive, Camaro-inspired styling.
In addition to the gas-powered model, Chevrolet will offer an electric vehicle called the Blazer EV with a driving range that's limited to about 312 miles, but the two vehicles don't share much beyond the nameplate. The gas-powered 2026 Chevrolet Blazer is scheduled to launch in the fourth quarter of 2025, probably toward the end of the year.
Engines and Performance Options
From a mechanical standpoint, the 2026 Chevy Blazer will be the same as the 2025 model year, offering two gasoline-powered engines. One is a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline four-cylinder that delivers 228 horsepower and the other is a naturally aspirated 3.6-liter V6 that can develop 308 horsepower. Both are matched with a nine-speed automatic transmission and your choice of front- or all-wheel drive. With its solid composure and accurate steering, the Blazer can be described as the most rewarding crossover to wear the Chevrolet badge.

The 2026 Blazer will continue to be responsive on winding sections of road, especially in the RS trim, that has its own steering and suspension tuning. The standard 18-inch wheel-and-tire combination on the LT delivers a smoother and quieter ride than the RS, that rolls with large 21-inch wheels. Both models remain quiet on even surfaces and when you're traveling at highway speeds. The firm brake pedal responds quickly, and the brakes can bring a Blazer RS to a stop from 70 mph in a remarkable 165 feet. The maximum towing capacity is 4,500 pounds.

Interior Highlights
Inside, the design of the 2026 Blazer will continue to take its inspiration from the stylish Camaro. It comes with an intuitive climate-control system that have round air vents positioned below the center stack. Visual touches include soft-touch plastics along with a two-tone color scheme. Higher-level trims get leather surfaces and nicer amenities, like ambient interior lighting, heated and ventilated front seats, and heated rear seats.
The back seat will have a good amount of space to stretch and that will comfort your family on longer road trips. The 2026 Blazer will have 31 cubic feet behind the rear seats and 64 cubic feet with the seats folded. There are multiple storage solutions for smaller items, including ledges located on the front door panels that are ideal for smartphones. There's a good-sized cubby at the front of the center console, and the bin has a respectable amount of space.
