The 2025 edition of the Tahoe from Chevrolet is expected to be available late in 2024. This colossal full-size SUV packs a tremendous amount of room for people and their cargo. The Tahoe comes with a muscular truck-based frame and a choice of two V8 engines as well as a diesel inline-six. The Z71 model is more than capable of tackling off-road trails and it comes with a big infotainment screen that's the centerpiece of the dashboard. What's new for 2025?
The 2025 Chevy Tahoe gets a modest styling refresh along with a massive, newly standard 17.7-inch infotainment touch screen. The V8 engine offerings are the same as last year but the optional diesel inline-six gets a power bump to 305 horsepower and 495 pound-feet of torque. A number of new towing supports have been added including one that monitors the health of the trailer's tires. The suspension system has been adjusted to increase the comfort factor and air springs are now available on the RST trim.
Engines and performance options
Most new Tahoe models will continue to be equipped with either a 5.3-liter V8 with 355 horsepower or a 6.2-liter V8 with 420 horsepower. Rear-wheel drive is the standard offering and all-wheel drive is an available option. You can move up to an available 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder diesel engine that delivers 305 horsepower and 495 pound-feet of torque. All three engines are connected to a 10-speed automatic. The off-road Tahoe Z71 has a two-speed transfer case along with four-wheel drive, underbody protection and all-terrain tires.
The Z71 model is available with an air spring suspension that allows you to raise or lower the ride height of the Tahoe, a feature that helps you tackle gnarly off-road obstacles. The new 2025 Chevy Tahoe is a maximum towing capacity of 8400 pounds when it's equipped with the 5.3-liter V8 and rear-wheel drive. The 6.2-liter V8 is almost as strong with a tow rating of 8300 pounds and the diesel can tow up to 8200 pounds. The best fuel economy, of course, is with the diesel engine, coming in at 28 MPG on the highway.
 Interior highlights
The full-size three-row Chevy Tahoe comes with an enormous interior with three rows and seating capacity for a family of up to eight. Second-row seats can slide back and forth to give you enough flexibility for adults to sit in the third row. There's plenty of storage space in the center console for smartphones wallets and beverages. Mid-range and upper trim levels are equipped with appealing and amenities like second-row captain's chairs, a power rear liftgate and a power-adjustable steering column.
The top-end High Country model comes with genuine wood trim and perforated leather upholstery. The interior of the new Tahoe gives you a low, flat load floor with the help of the independent rear suspension. When the second and third rows are folded down, you'll get up to 123 cubic feet of cargo space.
Technology
Every new Chevy Tahoe is equipped with a 17.7-inch infotainment touch screen that's angled slightly toward the driver, giving you easier access to navigation, radio and phone functions. Standard features include Apple CarPlay®, Android Auto™, a wireless smartphone charging pad and a Wi-Fi hotspot. The Tahoe also comes with an 11.0-inch digital instrument cluster as standard equipment. Available tech upgrades include a Bose premium stereo system and a rear-seat entertainment system with two screens mounted behind the front seats.
